Hochang has special production technology of Hinge pin for bridge, which is used for preventing of some
impact from seismic. Hochang can supply the saddle of bridge with the biggest cast steel maker in Korea.
Based on which special production technology, we are now challenging new bridge project in USA demanding various kinds of technologies.
Recently, scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said that there is a 70 percent probability of
a strong earthquake striking the greater San Francisco Bay Region sometime during the 30-year period of
2000-2030. Such an earthquake will most likely occur on one of seven main fault systems identified in their
study. The SFOBB(San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge) is located between the two fault lines with the
greatest odds of a major quake: the Hayward Fault and the San Andreas Fault. The epicenter of the Loma
Prieta Quake was in the Santa Cruz Mountains, about 60 miles away. The Hayward Fault and San Andreas
Fault are each within ten miles of the SFOBB and are both capable of large magnitude earthquakes.
For this
reason, we are preparing for manufacturing of Seismic Hinge Pin which weighs above 100ton per one piece as below.
We are proceeding manufacturing of saddle weighted above 80ton per 1ea.
